Waschsalon Montag! It was still dark outside when I came back after finishing my laundry. -shakes head-
You think my language has too many syllables? Have you listened to Malayalam yet? The tongue just slips off for me too if I attempt to speak it. Listen to the first 42 seconds of this video:
Also 3:30-4:07. I will give €10 to anybody who can repeat that, haha. Also also crushing on Sanjeeta Bhattacharya right now. Also also also, my new German teacher’s name is Claire, and she is Greek.
This blog earned its 9th follower today. Heading out for groceries. 4 hours of German every day is exhausting.

The view outside my German class at 1 in the afternoon. Potato fries and chapati today. Also, Kaspersky is refunded my money! I purchased annual subscription of their VPN only to realise they don’t have Indian servers on their roster. That kind of defeats the purpose of trying to access Indian Amazon Prime.

Novi’s 1st birthday. I am crying in every picture except one. Thanks to Karelin Victor-Kinzel for restoring my pictures.
I once playfully pushed my friend when I was 12. He hit the wall and broke his elbow. The headmistress had to be convinced that I was not a violent child and it was an accident.
I watched Princess Switch today. Typical Christmas movie, if you are into that. Also, Vanessa Hudgens is so cute. I watch Love Actually every year. That is my go-to Christmas movie. The cast has got Britain’s finest. Alan Rickman (Snape) and Emma Thompson (Trelawney) are a couple. What more could you ask for?
Fun Fact: Did you know? Rowan Atkinson was considered for the role of Lord Voldemort in the 4th movie, but Ralph Fiennes got the part.
I can have my own apartment for the same price I pay for a shared space with 2 people! More details later. Keep watching this space.

Day 10703
Sunday, 9 December 2018
Fans! The Europeans are yet to discover fans. No fans here. During the summer, I was like, y yu no fan?! I open the windows and not a single breeze. They have heaters for the winter but no fans for the summer. No wonder they complain all the time. I would too because there are no freaking fans. Fans make the summer bearable. I can easily survive 40s with a fan in India, but 30s with no fan here is torture. If you regularly oil the motor and clean the blades, fans are a breeze. Get it? Get it?
Noon and windy.
The wide toothed comb works! Superman to Clark Kent in no time.
I use hair oil and shampoo to wash it off twice a week. Hair care is really simple when it is shorter than an inch. I am not used to this. How often do you wash your hair?
5 more days and A1!
A1 > A2 > B1.1 > B1.2 > Exam > Certificate
I am still on the first step. Fortunately, most of the group is progressing to A2, so it will be the same people I will be learning with. I think Aline and Mahmoud only wanted to do A1. The rest of them want to keep learning.
Yeah, so remember the professor application from July? I got a reply. It only took them 131 days to get back to me. No big deal. I would not have been able to take it even if I got it, so it is a win-win. But it was nice to hear back.
I tried to be as passive aggressive as possible in my reply, without saying a lot.
“Thank you for getting back to me regarding my professor application. 131 days worth of waiting is nothing in a lifespan of nearly 25,000. I hope you enjoyed evaluating my application as much as I enjoyed filling it in. 🙂
Cheers.”
What can I say. High quality written prose comes naturally to me.
