Why Do We Fall, Bruce?

Beyond Your Wildest Expectations

It’s time to turn up the heat

Ray Lewis: “Every day is a new day. Every moment is a new moment. So now you got to go out and show them that you’re a different creature now than you were five minutes ago.”

Polybius: “Some men…obtain victory by exerting, at the last moment, more vigorous effort than before.”

B. C. Forbes: “Triumph is always nearest when defeat seems inescapable.”

Margaret Thatcher: “You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.”

Sachin Tendulkar: “Don’t look to find shortcuts. There are going to be tough phases in your career. It doesn’t matter if you fail following the right path. So, keep following the right path. As long as, you know, your heart tells you that ‘yes, today you have tried your best’, that is what I expect from you. Nothing more than that. I think it’s about not taking shortcuts. When you want to achieve something, you got to work hard. Keep chasing your dreams. Dreams do come true. Just. Don’t. Ever. Give up.”

Update (26 March 2014): I came across this interesting piece of writing the other day, and felt that it was totally addressed to me.

Brianna Wiest: “Nothing is coming to save you. Let yourself sit with that for a second. It will feel like rock bottom. Stay there for as long as you damn well need to. Lay down at rock bottom and look up at everything that you fell from. When you’re ready to stand, you’ll climb your way out by your own volition, and there will be no other hands to let go of yours, and that’s what’s most important. Nothing is coming to save you. We eventually have to let go of the idea that there is.”

As for The Batman, he had been on vacation at rock bottom, since 2004.

You’ll know when he is ready. Cheers!
